Design from e-NABLE
Understanding the needs of a young girl with amniotic band syndrome, we set out to create a solution that would restore functionality and bring joy in time for Christmas. With empathy at the heart of our approach, we focused on designing something both impactful and deeply personal.
Working as a team of three, we transformed a 3D-printed prosthetic hand from scratch using open sourced CAD design from e-NABLE. Through collaborative problem-solving and iterative design, we ensured the hand was both functional and tailored to the girl's unique needs.
The success of this project went beyond the tangible product—it touched lives and inspired others. The story was featured in three newspaper articles at local, national, and regional levels, showcasing the power of technology, empathy, and innovation to make a meaningful difference.
